Los Angeles Galaxy vs. Red Bull New York: Analysis, Reaction and More

Bruce Arena’s Los Angeles Galaxy are one victory away from earning the Major League Soccer Supporters’ Shield when they take on the New York Red Bulls on Tuesday night at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

The Galaxy are currently 18-3-10 (64 points) and are the best team in MLS at the moment. For Hand Backe’s Red Bulls, it is nothing but sheer desperation as they sit in the last playoff spot with a record of 8-17-16 (40 points). New York are coming off a tough 1-1 draw against Toronto FC.

As for Los Angeles, they are on a five-game win streak in all competitions, culminated by 2-1 victories over Monarcas Morelia and Real Salt Lake.  A key decision for Galaxy manager Bruce Arena will be the type of lineup that will come out against Thierry Henry, Rafa Marquez, Jan Gunnar Solli, Joel Lindpere and the Red Bulls.
