Los Angeles Galaxy vs. Colorado Rapids: Analysis, Reaction and More

Bruce Arena’s Los Angeles Galaxy travel to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado for an important match with Gary Smith’s Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer play.

Depending on how the USA vs. Jamaica encounter in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals pans out on Sunday, this will be the last match the Galaxy will have without either their starting goalkeeper, Donovan Ricketts, or their top scorer, team captain Landon Donovan.

The Los Angeles Galaxy are currently 8-2-7 (31 points) and are currently the team at the top of the MLS overall table, though second-place FC Dallas has two games in hand. As for the Colorado Rapids, led by Jamie Smith, they are 5-3-7 (22 points) and are fourth in the MLS Western Conference.
