Houston Dynamo vs. Chicago Fire Is Breast Cancer Awareness Day

The Houston Dynamo will host Breast Cancer Awareness Day, October 1, at their game against the Chicago Fire. As part of the effort, the Dynamo are offering a special $20 ticket package that will benefit The Methodist Cancer Center.

The special $20 ticket offer for the match against Chicago includes a ticket, a pink commemorative T-shirt and a field pass to be part of a human pink ribbon formed on the field. Fans will also get to meet defender Bobby Boswell after the game.

Boswell was quoted in a press release issued from the Dynamo:

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is important to me, because I think the women in our community, mothers, sisters, or daughters, are very important. The best thing you can do is raise awareness, because the statistics show that if women can detect breast cancer early enough, it is a very curable disease.
