Toronto FC’s Bright Dike Kicks Own Shoe into Goal

Toronto FC was taking on Sporting Kansas City on Saturday when an odd thing happened.Near the end of the game—a 4-1 win for Sporting KC—Toronto's Bright Dike received the ball outside the penalty box, turned and fired at goal, and his shoe came flying off. Sporting KC’s Dom Dwyer Takes Selfie After Scoring Goal

Sporting Kansas City forward Dom Dwyer was thrilled to score a goal on Sunday against the Chicago Fire after stealing the ball from defender Patrick Ianni and slotting it home past goalkeeper Sean Johnson.Upon scoring the goal in the 33rd minute, which gave Sporting K.C. a 1-0 advantage, Dwyer tracked down a phone and took a selfie with some fans.Here's the picture Dwyer snapped:Unfortunately, referee Alan Kelly wasn't too fond of the showboating and gave Dwyer a yellow card. MLS Cup Playoffs 2013: Full Schedule for Postseason Tournament

The 2013 MLS playoffs officially kick off on Wednesday, and it's time to start looking ahead at the entire schedule for this exciting tournament. The New York Red Bulls were able to take the top spot in the Eastern Conference over Sporting Kansas City by a single point, going 17-9-8 this season.  Meanwhile, the Portland Timbers also edged out Real Salt Lake by one point, going 14-5-15 on the year. Wednesday and Thursday will feature the two knockout round games.  Other than the MLS Cup finals, this is the only round where it's one game with the winner advancing.  In the other two rounds, the team to advance is the one that scores the most goals in the two games played.
