MLS: Ranking the 10 Most Lethal Goalscorers

Top goalscorers frequently come and go in Major League Soccer. Some have one or two outstanding seasons and never regain form; others simply depart to test their skills in a foreign league. However, in the last few seasons the league has seen some more consistency in regards to its crop of strikers. The race for the MLS Golden Boot has seen a core of three of four players fighting for the honor, while familiar players continually to follow behind. So here is my list of the top 10 lethal goalscorers in MLS, most which will likely battle for the Golden Boot till the end of the season.  Begin Slideshow

20 Best MLS Goals of All Time

There have been hundreds of goals throughout the 17 seasons of Major League Soccer's existence.Among all those goals, there are many memorable ones. Goals that will never be forgotten for reasons of importance, caliber or just dumb luck.To narrow them down to the best 20 in history is difficult. I'm sure some were overlooked for the simple reason there is no video archive that's easily accessible. With that said, this list, I believe, does do justice to the best goals we've seen in MLS. We may not agree on the ranking order, but there's no denying that these 20 goals are among the best. And if there are some I missed, there is always the comment box below for you to share. MLS Preview: 4 Matches to Watch in Week 8

I'll be honest, Week 8 of Major League Soccer lacks a bit of a punch since there are very few marquee matches, and the top team in the league, Sporting Kansas City, has a bye week. That being said, there are nine matches scheduled for Saturday, with all but two taking place in the evening. With that much soccer in compressed time, there is no way that anyone can be able to see all of the leagues matches this weekend. So here I am to give you which four matches I recommend you do not miss. Begin Slideshow

Whatever it was that you were expecting from this weekend's Major League Soccer action was probably blown out of the water by Sunday evening. We saw possibly everything imaginable occur during Week 7 of the 2012 campaign. There were several red cards given out there between Real Salt Lake and the Philadelphia Union's matches.New York Red Bulls' defense was split open by D.C. DC United vs. New York Red Bulls: 6 Reasons to Expect an MLS Classic

As Major League Soccer enters yet another full week of action in the 2012 season, it makes way for the Atlantic Cup, whose origins go back all the way to the inaugural 1996 season. The Atlantic Cup is the name given to the D.C. United and New York Red Bulls' bitter rivalry as well as the trophy the winning team receives. This year's edition kicks off this Sunday, when New York travels to the nation's capital for its first of three matches. Due to the proximity of both clubs, and maybe even some jealousy between them, year after year this rivalry has given fans the opportunity to see amazing soccer. If this Sunday's match reaches tradition's expectations and becomes another MLS classic, these will be six reasons why. 1. Winning Team Will Take Advantage of the Opposition's SetbacksComing into this Sunday's match, NYRB will be without the services of center-back Wilman Conde, who will be out for a month due to a groin injury. Without his presence in the back line, the Red Bulls have been very vulnerable.New York has also lost Rafael Marquez after MLS suspended him for three games due to his foul on San Jose's Shea Salinas, who suffered a broken clavicle. On the other hand, D.C. ...

MLS: Ranking the Best Stadiums for Soccer Fans

If you are a Major League Soccer fan, you must be proud of the evolution the league has experienced these last several years. From expansion to soccer-hungry cities in Canada and the Pacific Northwest, to the construction of more soccer-specific stadiums, all this progress has helped MLS become a more desirable league both domestically and internationally.  Of course, no league would ever grow if not for the passionate fans who attend these matches week in and week out. Therefore, I've created list to rank all 18 MLS stadiums based on the atmosphere that is created by fans. It is all about elements that make these stadiums an intimidating place to play for opponents, and exemplify the true definition of home-field advantage. I'm certain there will be many disagreements on the order of this list. So don't just bash the list if you disagree, but use it as an opportunity to prove to MLS why your team stadium's atmosphere should be considered one of the best in the league. Enjoy... *I am omitting the Houston Dynamo from this list, as its new stadium, BBVA Compass Stadium, is set to open May 12, 2012.Begin Slideshow
